HKFC Juniors at the 29th Japan Junior Open
A total of eight junior squash players from the Football Club were among a sizable group of Hong Kong players who participated in the 29th Japan Junior Open.
The squash championship was held in Yokohama from 31st July to 2nd August and is an annual Asian Junior Super Series Event (Silver Event) sanctioned by the Asian Squash Federation and a World Junior Circuit Event (Tier 3) sanctioned by the World Squash Federation. This year's tournament was well represented by players from Malaysia, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and Canada as well as the host country, Japan. It boasts a full range of competitions from U19 to U9 categories for both boys and girls. The Hong Kong players were led by the Hong Kong Team Coach, Ms. Karen Lau who is also a member of the HKFC Squash Section.

It is with great pleasure to that following three days of intense competition the Football Club players achieved excellent results (see below). The increasing participation of club junior players in local and international tournaments will certainly help boost the ever growing junior squash programme for the Section.
