Start Score

  • Start scores are in the attached sheet, calculated as follows:
    • If both players are on “minus” then the scores are netted off so the “weaker” player is on “love”.  The player on “love” is then given +1 point for every 10 point differential still remaining
      • a player on -50 v. player on -15 would start each game at -35 v. +3
      • a player on -35 v. player on -27 would start each game at -8 v 0
  •  If one player is on “minus” and one is on “plus” then the scores stay as is
  • If both players are on “plus” the scores are netted off so the “stronger” player is on “love”
      • a player on +1 v. player on +3 would start each game at 0 v 2
